e-NINSHO Procedures

"e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)" is an app for use in "公的個人認証による本人確認およびマイナンバー収集サービス (Personal Authentication and My Number Collection by the Public Certification Service for Individuals)" provided by Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. Sony Bank will use "e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)" to collect your "My Number".
Please note that the "e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)" is only available in Japanese.

STEP 1Installing the "e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)"

Download the "e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)" by Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. from the ""My Number" Submission" page after signing in to our English online banking. After installing the app, press "次へ (Next)".

It is possible to download just the app, but you will need to start the app via the ""My Number" Submission" page to complete the procedure.

STEP 2Starting the "e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)"

Start the "e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)" via the ""My Number" Submission" page after signing in to our English online banking on a smartphone with the app installed.

You must complete the procedure via our English online banking. (The procedure cannot be completed only via the app.)

You will be redirected to the website of Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., and select "開始する(Start)".

STEP 3Confirming the terms and conditions of "e-NINSHO本人確認サービス (e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service)"

Please confirm the terms and conditions of the e-NINSHO Personal Authentication Service and then select "同意する (I agree)". If you do not wish to use the app, you must complete the procedure by submitting a written request form. If you wish to have the request form mailed to you, please contact our English help desk.

STEP 4Entering the password of your "My Number" card

Please enter the following two types of passwords and select "マイナンバーカード読み取りへ (Scan My Number Card)".

  • 券面事項入力補助用暗証番号 (PIN of the “App to support entering items on the card", the 4-digit PIN that you registered when you applied for your My Number Card).
  • 公的個人認証署名用パスワード (Digital certificate password for signature, the 6 to 16 alphanumeric characters that you registered when you applied for your My Number Card).

STEP 5Reading your My Number Card (Individual Number Card) on your smartphone

Hold your smartphone up to your My Number Card and scan it. The IC chip information (name, address, date of birth, gender) will appear on the screen.

STEP 6Confirming scanned information

After confirming that your customer information is correct, select "本人確認を申請する (apply for Personal Authentication)".

STEP 7Completing the app application

The app application is complete once "本人確認が完了しました (Personal Authentication is complete)" is displayed. After selecting "次へ (Next)," you will be redirected to the website of Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. Please select "閉じる (Close)" to complete the procedure.

STEP 8Completing "My Number" (Individual Number Notification) submission

Select "Close" on the ""My Number" Submission" page on our English online banking to complete the procedure.
My Number registration takes one to two business days. You can check your My Number registration status via the "Customer Information" page.
You can uninstall the e-NINSHO app after the My Number registration process is completed.
