The Changes Regarding the Benefits for Some Visa Debit Card Payments

Please be advised that the following changes will be made to the benefits you can earn based on the use of Visa Debit card payments inside Japan.
The changes will apply from the arrival of the sales data to Sony Bank on December 1, 2025 (Mon).

• (1) 

  Making wire transfers using a Visa Debit card will not be eligible for Sony Bank WALLET cashback.
  Example of merchants: REVOLUT, Wise

• (2) 

  Regardless of Club S level, Sony Bank WALLET cashback will be offered at a flat rate of 0.5% for Visa debit card usage when topping up various prepaid and e-money.

Due to the changes, the usage restrictions for the following merchants will be removed.

• SMCC Prepaid (Mitsui Sumitomo VISA PREPAID)
• REVOLUT

For REVOLUT, the usage limit of 50,000 yen per transaction will also be removed.
