3,000 yen per remittance Administrative service handling fee is charged by Sony Bank for every Outgoing foreign currency remittance made from your account. Depending on your Club S membership level, the remittance fee can be waived up to three times per month.

When making an Outgoing foreign currency remittance, the paying bank (banks involved in the remittance, such as beneficiary and intermediary banks) may charge administrative fees. Sony Bank asks customers to decide if they would like to pay the paying bank's charge in advance, or have the charges deducted from the amount the beneficiary receives.

Sony Bank cannot determine in advance if fees are required, the total number of fees that will be charged, or their total amount.

When requesting a remittance, you will be asked to choose whether the "Remitter" or "Beneficiary" will pay any associated fees.

If you choose "Beneficiary":
Any time a related bank charges a fee, it will be covered by the beneficiary and the fee will be deducted from the remitted funds.
If you choose "Remitter":
When the remittance is made, a paying bank's charge of 3,000 yen will be deducted from your Yen savings account. Any time a related bank charges a fee, it will be covered by the paying bank's charge.
Please note that even if you have paid the paying bank's charge in advance, related banks may deduct the fees directly from the remitted funds. Please also note that there will be no refunds in such cases, including cases where the paying banks charge no fees.

Administrative fees are charged for the request of any changes to transaction details, refunds or inquiries either after you have requested a remittance, or the remittance has been executed.

The fees are non-refundable, even in the case that the remittance has failed.

Additional fees and expenses might be charged by related banks, depending on the procedure.
