The cashback you earn on purchases made using Sony Bank WALLET between the 1st and the last day of the previous month will be credited to your account on or around the 20th of the month at the rate corresponding to your current Club S level.

The usual Sony Bank WALLET overseas ATM fee is 220 yen (consumption tax included). This fee will be refunded to your Yen savings account the following month for the corresponding number of fee-waived overseas ATM usages according to your Club S level. Overseas ATM fees vary depending on the currency and account from which you make a withdrawal. For details, please refer to "Sony Bank WALLET Fee-waived overseas ATM usage".

The standard fee is 3,000 yen per remittance. If you, as the remitter, choose to bear the remittance charges, there is an extra 3,000 yen (unrelated to the standard fee) you will be required to pay.

Sony Bank WALLET preferential cashback rate

All customers with Sony Bank WALLET are eligible for 0.5% monthly cashback on all payments inside Japan regardless of Club S level. Club S members can receive up to additional 1.5% cashback depending on their Club S level. The maximum amount of cashback you can earn per month is 200,000 yen.

Cashback cannot be earned on payments made in or outside of Japan in currencies other than Yen. Please note that in some cases online shopping in Japan may be treated as an overseas transaction and therefore will not be eligible for cashback rewards.

Sony Bank WALLET overseas ATM usage

When you withdraw local currency from overseas ATMs with your Sony Bank WALLET, a portion of the ATM fee - Sony Bank's overseas ATM fee of 220 yen (consumption tax included), will be eligible for cash back (*) the following number of times, depending on your Club S level.
Overseas ATM fees vary depending on the currency and account from which you make a withdrawal. Please refer to our "Fees for Overseas Use" page for details.

We will initially deduct this fee at the time of withdrawal but refund it into your Yen savings account the following month. Please note that if for some reason you cancel your withdrawal at an overseas ATM, the remaining number of fee-waived withdrawals may not be displayed correctly on our English online banking after signing-in.

Fee-waived fund transfers to other financial institutions in Japan

When making a fund transfer from your Sony Bank account to other financial institutions in Japan the usual fee is 110 yen (consumption tax included). However, you can enjoy fee-waived fund transfers within Japan up to eleven times per month, depending on your Club S level.

Fee-waived partner ATM usage in Japan

You can enjoy fee-waived ATM usage at partner ATMs in Japan, depending on your Club S level.
The usual ATM fee of 110 yen (consumption tax included) will be charged per transaction thereafter.

Sony Bank never charges fees when making deposits (including card loan repayments - available in Japanese only).

Preferential Outgoing foreign currency remittance fee

When making a foreign currency remittance from Sony Bank to financial institutions outside Japan, Sony Bank usually charges 3,000 yen per remittance. However, you can enjoy up to three fee-waived foreign currency remittances, depending on your Club S level.
